Pair of John Jenkins ‘Lincoln’ Design Red Wine Glasses

This is a pair of high quality imported low-lead crystal red wine glasses from the ‘Lincoln’ suite by John Jenkins. The bowl is approximately bell shaped with a thickened base. The elongated stem contains an air-twist in double helical form. The trapped air causes the glass to glisten as it is moved in the light. In 18th century glasses this quality was known as a ‘mercurial’ or ‘mercury’ twist. The foot is plain and polished flat. Each glass has a height of approximately 15.5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.8cm and across the foot of about 6.4cm. They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
