This is a pair of stunning, high quality engraved lead crystal pan champagne glasses, probably dating to about 1880.
This is a pair of stunning, high quality engraved lead crystal pan champagne glasses, probably dating to about 1880.
The capacious pan shaped bowl is engraved around the centre with three pair of stylised fern fronds with foliage. Between each pair is a smaller frond with tufts of foliage. There is a discoid collar at the junction of the bowl and the plain, straight stem. There is a further collar at the junction of the stem and the plain, flat foot. The latter has been polished and is unmarked.
Each glass has a height of approximately 11.3cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8.2cm and across the foot of about 6.0cm.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
