Pair of Royal Doulton ‘Prince Charles’ Design Sherry Glasses

This is a pair of good quality cut lead crystal sherry glasses from the ‘Prince Charles’ suite by Royal Doulton. The bowl is cut with a series of seven large criss – crosses, the lower limbs of which cross over. Below this junction there is a vertical leaf shaped wedge cut. Within the upper ‘arms’ of the crosses there is a three-pointed fan. The plain short stem tapers out to meet a star cut foot. The foot is marked near the edge with the words ‘ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND’ surrounding the crown logo. Each glass has a height of approximately 10.5cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 5.3cm and across the foot of about 4.9cm. There may be minor differences in the dimensions due to the handmade nature of the glasses. They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
